Nia Newsome is a young educated woman with her whole life ahead of her. Her professional life could not be any better right now. As a junior partner in a major financial management company, she is on her way to the top and no one is going to stop her. She and her friends she grew up with are still thick as thieves and make sure that they stay that way. Her love life is complicated but she has everything under control. She has her man, Elijah Breeze, who she’s been with since she was fifteen and their love is undeniable and nothing can come between them, that is until she meet Mark one night while out with her girls. He has a silver tongue that she cannot resist and no matter how hard she tries, she just can’t stay away.
Out of the blue, Breeze pops the question and asks Nia to marry him. Stunned but happy she accepts only later to remember that she has to end things with Mark. Figuring it is better to break things off with him sooner than later, she tries to let him down easy. But Mark isn’t giving her up without a fight. In the meantime, she begins to notice cars and people following her. She starts receiving e-mails and packages with photos of her and Mark that could ruin her life. She enlists the help of her close friend to find out who has put a tail on her and when she finds out who it is, she is in awe.
Unknowingly, there are other things going on behind the closed doors of those she cares about. Everything is not what it seems and when it comes to Mark. His ulterior motives for being with her soon come to light. Mark is not who he seems to be and his past with Breeze will soon come to light in a devastating way. The final decision of Breeze’s life, as well as her own, will bring all the skeletons out of the closet and shine the light on more than she ever dreamed.
